Antwerp has its own small airport which offers a limited number of regular international flights to London and Manchester. Click here for more information about Antwerp Airport. To get to the city center from the Antwerp Airport we recommend to use taxi.
The closest to Antwerp major international airport is Zaventem (Brussels International Airport). Brussels International Airport is very well connected by direct flights with virtually all major cities in the world. Click here for more information about Brussels International Airport. To get from Brussels International Airport to Antwerp we advise to use airport coaches: hourly service to the center of Antwerp, duration about 45 min, 10 Euro one-way journey. Tickets are available from the bus driver. Click here for timetables of buses and more information.
Another possible choice especially for intercontinental flights might be the Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol). It is connected with Antwerp by the hourly train services (travel time from Schiphol to Antwerp Central Station about 2 hours). Click here for more information about Amsterdam Airport.
Travelling to Antwerp by train may be a prefered option if you come from UK, France, Germany, the Nederlands, and some other European countries. Antwerp has a few direct high-speed train connections, including Thalys services from Paris and Amsterdam. Most of international high-speed trains, including Eurostar services from London and ICE services from Franfurt/Cologne arrive to Brussels South (Gare du Midi, Zuidstation). In this case change at Brussels South to the intecity train to Antwerp Central Station, travel time about 40 min. Click here to get information from the web site of Belgian Railways (SNCB/NMBS).
